Skitching: Don’t do it!

Hey guys, I saw a couple of news article on News.com.au yesterday about a recent skitching incident involving a teenager down in Sydney that has resulted in him suffering a serious head injury. There’s no mention in either article as to whether or not he was wearing a helmet, but seriously, wearing a helmet or not, skitching is dangerous.

If you have a look at the first article I linked to, there are now calls to ban skateboarding on the roads altogether and ban it on the footpaths for people over the age of 12. This is ridiculous, but it doesn’t surprise me given that skitching does seem to be becoming more common. Be safe guys and girls, don’t skitch, and remember, cars are bigger than you and the road is harder than your head. Always wear a helmet when you are on any kind of wheels, be it a board, scooter or skates.
