Sure-Grip Fame Artistic Skates
Artistic roller skates are most comparable to figure ice skates, just as artistic roller skating is most comparable to figure skating on ice. They normally have a leather boot that extends above the ankle to offer greater support with a strong base plate and jump bar to give the skates extra strength when performing jumps.
Artistic roller skates are used for a range of different styles of skating, including figure skating, freestyle, pairs, pairs dance, solo dance, precision/synchronised skating and show teams. All of these styles need a skate that is capable of withstanding the force of jumps and landings, and no other skates provide that extra strength (or the extra ankle support) of artistic skates.
