The original 22″ plastic Penny rides like no other board – portable, irresistible, fun.
Since the release of the 22″ Penny customers have been asking for a longer, bigger board and at the end of 2011, this became a reality with the 27″ Penny Nickel. The big brother nobody knew about.
The Penny Nickel skateboard is the first plastic skateboard to be produced commercially above 25″ and like the 22″ Penny, it rides in a way that is unlike any other longer cruiser on the market. The perfect amount of flex and flow have been maintained in this board, and with the longer wheelbase, it makes for a more stable ride than the original 22″ Penny.
Penny Nickel completes are 27″ long by 7.5″ wide and made from the same secret formula plastic as the original. Fitted out with custom 4″ Penny Nickel trucks and the same 59mm 78a super smooth wheels and high-quality bearings as the original Penny.
2011 saw 12 colour combinations introduced. From the sneak peek below it’s looking like there will be 9 Nickel colour combinations released in 2012:

It looks like the white Penny Nickel has been dropped, as has the second colours in blue and mutant green to bring us back to 9 colour combinations.
