Dennis 'Polar Bear' Agnew "was so naturally gifted on a skateboard. When Dennis was in his prime his 'Hand Plants' were legendary. Nobody could extend their body over the coping like him. His Blasted Backside Airs and his Rock & Roll Board  Slides were the best... Even by today's standards he was a pioneer. He pushed the limits on a skateboard and started doing things that people had not seen before. I remember at Marina Skate Park he started to do Frontside Ollie Airs over the Hip...Amazing, because the 'Z Pigs' that they were riding back then were big boards! He had so much natural flow that he could do almost anything he put his mind to on a skateboard. He was the best skateboarder in the world at that time. Most important was that he was a good person. He had a big heart, and was always really cool with us groms when we were kids. He was the best. His spirit lives on" - David Fowler.

For the last 35 years, Z-Flex has been home to some of the most iconic skateboard art of all time. More specifically, the original Z-Flex Animal series has been credited as the first graphic based skateboards, paving the way for many of the skateboard series you see today.

To celebrate its anniversary, Z-Flex will once again flew their influence by releasing the highly anticipated 2012 Animal series. The Original team of Jimmy "The Rat" Plumer, George "Gator" Wilson, Jim " The Dog" Davey, Eric "Froggy" Andersen and Marcello "The Boar" Vercelli will be featured alongside Dennis "Polar Bear" Agnew. Measuring 9.75" x 32", each complete features 7 ply Canadian Hard Rock Maple, fully dipped graphics and shredded die cut grip. These super hot boards come with 6 1/4" powder coated Z-Flex trucks complemented by 90A Z-Pro Wheels and Abec 7 Z-Speed bearings.

These boards were developed to inspire and to recall a time in which skateboarding was a revelation, and this latest edition to the Z-Flex range is a must for any skateboard collector.
