Sure-Grip GT-50 Roller Skates Review

Brief History

Sure-Grip have been making roller skates for a long time, and the GT-50 is one of their long-running models. It is aimed at beginners and recreational skaters, and has been refined over the years to be a skate that you can trust to perform without any hitches.

Previously it was available in black or white models, and as of last year, it is now also available in grey, making it the only entry level skate available in that colour.

Crazy Skates VXi Roller Skates Review

Brief History

Crazy VXi Roller Skates have come a long way since they were first released.

Crazy VXi Roller SkatesThe Crazy VXi is the successor of the Crazy VX which featured a metal plate and was in fact the only low cut skate to feature a metal plate at the entry level price point (the only other one that I'm aware of is the Riedell RW Wave, a high top boot).

With the release of the VXi, the metal plate was replaced by a light weight nylon plate and the round toe stop that was featured on all Crazy skates was replaced by the non-marking Arrow toe stop.

These funky little quads are definitely one of the best children's roller skates on the market and go all the way down to a kids 10 and up to an adults 6 (US mens sizes) in either black/red or white/pink.

Come in to the shop to fit your kids out, or if you are ordering online, measure their foot and check it against the size chart below. Put their foot up against a wall and then use a measuring tape or ruler to measure from the wall to the end of their big toe. This will give you the most accurate measurement of the length of their foot. What we have found is that you should then aim for 1-2cm extra on top of their actual measurements. With kids that are constantly growing, it gives a little bit more room for that growth and gives a bit more room in case their foot has grown wider before growing longer. If you are unsure or would like some guidance about sizing, just give us a call on 0731033465 or send us an email. We are always happy to help!
