Carver Swallow Tail Skateboard - like carving with a fish surfboardI recently saw a review on the Daily Stoke from March 19 this year that I thought I would share with you. It is about one of the smallest skateboards from Carver, the 29" Carver Swallow Tail. This is a unique skateboard that can be compared to a fish or swallow tail surfboard, and the review by Shaper on the Daily Stoke has found that this is the closest thing to hitting the waves with a fish surfboard, on the streets:

"I am going to make the bold statement that this is the closest I have come to replicating the feel of a knee high swell on a 5’10” fish!!!" - Garage Shaper dailystoke.com

Carver C7 Flowmaster SkateboardI was just having a bit of a look around this morning at what people are saying online about the Carver skateboards. In looking, I came across a review done by mesurf of the Carver C7 skateboards from June in 2009.

Overall they gave the boards 4.25/5 which is pretty awesome! The essence of the review by mesurf is summed up as:

"The C7 Carver board rides much differently to any other skatie we've reviewed. With a front truck that swivels, it opens up the gateway to surfing on the road. When you first jump on the carver you'll find the whole concept a bit weird, but once you dial in you'll be picturing the wave face, driving down the line and pulling into a nice round house carve." - from mesurf.

Carver Cruiser LongboardYou may have noticed that the pricing on the Carver Skateboards and Longboards has recently changed, and for the better too.

Every Carver board is now $310 with CX style trucks, or $359.95 with C7 style trucks. That's a price drop of $65 on some models and up to $100 on other models (like the massive 42" Flowmaster!)

It's not just a sale either, this is a permanent price drop that is the result of cheaper import costs. This brings the Carver range into a more competitive price range, so if you want to give one a go, now is an excellent time!

We can also get individual Carver Decks now as well, not just the completes, so expect to see them online soon.

Carver completes are on the way! These amazing skateboards are just the thing if you want to be able to really surf without the water, or if the water is just too flat to bother getting out the surfboard.

The C7 style front truck provides additional turning power and makes your board behave just like a surfboard.
